In Chinese administrative law, market regulation usually refers to the responsibility of the market regulatory administration, which mainly governs deceptive trade practices, but other agencies and in particular the financial markets regulators, can also perform this function. This concept is well-known to American law, however the concept typically appears in the financial market regulatory context more than consumer markets. (see SEC bulletin)
